Marma point healing | Triyoga London NW1

This Ayurvedic marma point healing unblocks stagnant energy in the subtle (emotional) body. Marma points are like the junctions where the prana (energy) that should flow freely around the body becomes blocked; points where consciousness become matter.

These blockages result in anxiety, stress, agitated mind, unhappiness, nervousness, anger, criticism, loneliness, insecurity, depression, unexpressed emotions, hurt, lack of self esteem, mental fatigue and insomnia.

They also cause physical symptoms including headaches, stuttering, muttering, panic attacks, asthma, nausea, hot flushes, thyroid and autoimmune conditions.

Marma healing works on the level of consciousness to release this blocked energy and facilitate specific healing effects. It helps you to:

  • Feel less stressed or worried, and calm the constantly overactive mind
  • Have more clarity, so that making decisions is easier, and you feel like life is flowing
  • Feel emotionally balanced, with positive connections to the people in your life
  • Feel you are healing on a deeper, unspoken level

You lie fully clothed, and gentle touch or light circular movements are applied to around 15 marma points on the head and neck. This subtle touch given with healing intention enlivens the inner intelligence located in the marmas, for rebalancing, rejuvenation and healing.

One of the marma points, for example, is Sthapani (the third eye), where regular and gentle touch can bring clarity, wisdom and insight. Poor energy flow through this point causes anxiety, insecurity, loneliness and depression. Another is Shanka marma, on the temporal area, where touch can calm Pitta dosha, an agitated mind and insomnia, and control nausea and hyperacidity. Three treatments, on consecutive weeks, is advisable for a deeper effect.

PRICE: 45 MINS £50, 60 MINS £65

Ayurvedic therapies work not only on the physical body but on restoring balance to your underlying energy. Human touch, given with love and intention, is enormously healing (and often lacking in disconnected and busy city lives). The connection between healer and patient and the transmission and flow of pranic energy is crucial in Ayurvedic therapies. My heartfelt intention is for you to leave feeling quiet, calm, nurtured and rejuvenated.

"I recently had several amazing massages with Jacqui. I had been experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety and my energy was very low. Her massages were more like a spiritual experience; every inch of my body felt nourished and cared for. I could feel that she was putting so much love and care into the treatment, and the results were dramatic. I felt a deep sense of calm and clarity and I had the best night's sleep. I would highly recommend treatment with Jacqui, which is so much more than a massage."
