You're unique and so are your health needs

Jacqui Gibbons

Ayurveda is one of the oldest forms of lifestyle medicine. For thousands of years, it has used foods and lifestyle as its key healing modalities – and as the way to be healthy and prevent disease in the first place. Modern medicine is slowly coming to this same realisation. But Ayurveda goes much deeper than the modern approach: it guides us to live in the way that's right for our unique mind/body type, our DNA if you like, rather than giving one-size-fits-all advice. In Ayurveda, our underlying energy pattern, or prana, is the foundation of health.

In a consultation, using Ayurvedic diagnostic techniques such as pulse and tongue diagnosis, Jacqui Gibbons will help you to understand your unique balance of the five elements, and how these energies have become unbalanced. She will develop a personalised plan, implemented step-by-step, to return you to wellness using natural treatments such as foods, herbal medicines, warm oil massage, pranayama (breathing techniques) and seasonal cleansing programmes.

Jacqui has a warm, practical and supportive approach. She has eight years' experience successfully treating busy London professionals for conditions including weight gain, constipation, bloating, IBS, IBD, PMS, fatigue, anxiety, skin conditions, type II diabetes and many other health issues. She also often treats people who don't have an illness, whose doctor says there's nothing wrong, but who know in themselves they are not thriving.

In Ayurveda, just popping a pill – even a herbal one – is not the answer. Rebalancing our mind, body, emotions and energetic imbalance is the way back to health. The goal is vibrant health and happiness at all levels of our being: not just physical but mental, emotional and spiritual too.
